We are pleased to announce the first orders covering the Satcom System upgrade of the USAF fleet of Boeing C-17 transport aircraft. It will kick off the introduction of Thales Aerospace Communications’ AVIATOR 700D Satcom System to provide global Inmarsat Aero H+ and SwiftBroadband services to the fleet. The program, which covers close to 300 aircraft, is expected to be completed in 2026.
Nicolas Bonleux, Vice-President of Thales Aerospace Communications, said: “These first orders are a key milestone to start the retrofit program of the entire C-17 fleet. We are extremely proud of this achievement.”
